Sheffield Forgemasters CFO leaves role

7th February 2018

The chief financial officer (CFO) at engineering giant Sheffield Forgemasters International has left his position.

James Tate joined the company at the end of 2016. He has many years’ experience as CFO within the manufacturing industry, most recently as financial director Sapa Profiles UK, part of the world’s leading producer of extruded aluminium profiles and previously as head of group finance for CPL Industries.

Graham Honeyman, chief executive at Sheffield Forgemasters International Ltd and Connect Yorkshire EIR, said: “I would like to thank James Tate for the work he has done at Sheffield Forgemasters during his tenure here and we wish him all the best in his future ventures.

“We have appointed an interim chief financial officer until we have settled on a permanent replacement.”

Non-executive director Jon Bolton previously stepped down from the board at the end of 2017 to pursue other interests, including a board-level role at Liberty Steel. Two other non-executive directors, Janice Munday and David Duggins, remain with the business.
