Objective Creative was founded in 2011 by Dan Broadbent and Carl Richardson. Objective is one of the UK’s fastest growing B2B marketing agencies.

 

The Issues

Two years ago, the Objective team identified the benefit of seeking an independent view to assist accelerated business growth.

 

The EIRs

Over the last 16 months the company has had 2 Springboard (now called 1 to 1) mentoring sessions with Connect Yorkshire Entrepreneurs in Residence. The first with Jonathan Sands of Elmwood in March 2018, and the most recent with Julian Kynaston of Propaganda in May 2019. The advice from Jonathan Sands has mainly been implemented; most of Julian’s views supported earlier advice.

 

Springboard advice given

The first question Jonathan asked was “What makes Objective different” from other marketing businesses. Answer, ”The unique processes we follow, and the outstanding results we achieve for clients”.

Jonathan also shared his expertise approaching key prospects. He encouraged the Objective team to continue to get to know the personal likes and dislikes of prospects, as well as their business requirements.

Rather than targeting acquisitions.  Advice was given to continue organic growth, by confidently approaching the biggest clients

Jonathan advised that Objective should continue to be sector specific, promoting their B2B expertise.

 

Changes made since the advice was given

Objective Creative has concentrated on key sectors.

The Company is especially well respected in the professional services sector, with clients ranging from energy consultants to civil engineers.

In the last 18 months Objective Creative has secured significant business, adding new accounts every month.  

The business has grown by over 25% in the last 2 years.

 

Conclusion

Although Objective were already implementing many of the strategies discussed with the 2 EIRs, their advice re-invigorated the Objective team to accelerate their success!
