Huddersfield Town have struck a new partnership with Rosenbauer UK, a Yorkshire-based manufacturer of fire-fighting vehicles, appliances and equipment.

Huddersfield said the deal, announced this morning (August 8), was made to boost awareness of fire safety and support Rosenbauer’s recruitment as it expands.

As part of the tie-up, the company’s branding will appear on the Terriers’ kits and walk-out jackets for the 2018/19 campaign.

Rosenbauer UK, formerly North Fire Limited, was founded by Huddersfield businessman Oliver North. In 2014, the company changed its name after merging with Austrian fire engine and equipment maker Rosenbauer Group.

The firm is now a leading UK manufacturer of fire engines, supplying fire services and airports across the country.

The company’s £700k ‘Panther’ airport fire truck doubled as one of the ‘robots in disguise’ in the film Transformers 3.

Oliver North said of the decision to become a Huddersfield Town partner: “Rosenbauer UK is an organisation which has a reputation for pushing boundaries and giving everything, with every order that we supply – which are values that have also shone through at Huddersfield Town over the past couple of seasons.

“The club is well recognised throughout the UK as alleged underdogs with a good old-fashioned Yorkshire-fighting spirit, and it has a loyal following.”

He continued: “While we don’t expect many of them to be in the market for a fire truck, we’re delighted to align ourselves with our local, family-friendly club, which will extend our reach within the community and support our recruitment as we grow.

“Our philosophies are completely aligned, and as we look to humbly consolidate our growth, we’re proud to associate ourselves to our home-town through an avenue which most people can relate to.”
