Connect Yorkshire member North Brewing Co has opened its first taproom in its home city.
The new venue is located on the corner of Swinegate and Sovereign Street, close to Leeds Train Station.
It features the brewery’s own beer as well as others from the UK and overseas. The food offering has been provided by street food company Little Bao Boy with coffee from roastery Darkwoods.
John Gyngell, founder and director of North Brewing Co, said: “It’s absolutely amazing to have a North Brewing Co taproom open seven days a week. Our opening hours at our current brewery tap are restricted by it being a working brewery, so this new space is gives us a real scope to introduce new people to our beers.”
James Ooi, founder and director of Little Bao Boy, added: “Working with North Brewing Co in their new city centre taproom is a fantastic. They have championed us from day one, inviting us to trade at their Eat North street food fair, hold pop ups in their bar, and catering private functions at the brewery.
“Our baos are freshly steamed, homemade fluffy buns filled with a variety of savoury and sweet flavours. Having a full-time outlet is going to give us the space to develop new dishes, and we can’t wait to get cooking with some North Brewing Co beers.”
