Language services provider and company of Connect Yorkshire EIR Larry Gould, thebigword has created almost 70 jobs at its Leeds headquarters following a series of new business wins.
By the end of July, the company will employ more than 600 people at its head office, making it one of the largest private sector employers in the UK city.
As a result of new contracts in the technology, justice and charity sectors, thebigword is recruiting for roles in operations, sales, marketing and technology.
New contract wins include a deal to supply white-label language services on behalf of a multinational technology corporation, telephone interpreting services for a highly secure hotline provider to leading global corporates, interpreting and translation services for a leading not-for-profit healthcare organisation with more than 100 sites and interpreting services to support victims of human trafficking with a UK charity.
