Connect Yorkshire member and Sheffield-based web technology agency Quba has seen its annual turnover increase by 20% to £1.32m.

Established in 2000 by current Managing Director Matthew Williams, Quba now has a 22-strong team who design, build and manages large websites and applications for clients across sectors including airports, financial services, charities and manufacturers.

As well as the reported rise in turnover, the business has grown its headcount by six and has won a series of high profile clients since the start of the year including The Grosvenor Group – the UK’s largest independent property group; Markel – the US insurance giant; and TC Harrison – the largest family run Ford dealership group.

Meanwhile, long-term Quba client London Luton Airport has retained the agency on a three-year retained contract, which was won following a competitive pitch.

Williams said: “Despite the challenges faced by many of our clients, especially thanks to Brexit uncertainty, the last 12 months has been a strong period of growth for the business.

“The entire team has been focused on delivering projects on time, on budget and with the right balance of creativity and end user functionality. I firmly believe this approach has been to key to our success.

“Our aim is to now build on these achievements so we can position the company as strongly as possible for the future.”
