The Goole based business won the initial contract to blend, pack and ship seven tonnes of water treatment granules on a trial basis, but the first batch proved so successful their contract has now been confirmed.
Stephen Moore is Customer Relationship Manager. He said: “Our customer was on a tight deadline to have the product mixed, packed and ready for shipping to Scandinavia within weeks. We were able to deliver on time in budget and add value by ensuring they suffered no losses in transit.
“The achievement was all the more amazing given they asked for another level of product security as it was leaving our factory gates,” he added. “The end user had previously suffered loss in transit and asked what we could do to reduce that?
“We researched and sourced pallet collars that would fit around the packaged product to protect it from stray fork lift truck (FLT) forks. Our customer was delighted we could meet their deadline and that no product was lost in transit.
“They were also delighted with the way we treated their raw materials pre-production. Fine sieving is a core part of our service on this kind of contract. It enables us to ensure purity of ingredients and removes any waste that has found its way into sacks left in storage yards. Our customer was delighted and as a result we are now discussing additional products and services with them for future contracts.”
Because Grotech Production was able to deliver on time the end user was also thrilled with the consignment. “The feedback from the Scandinavian company was really positive,” said Stephen.
“They were delighted with the innovation that prevented them losing valuable stock.”
