Nigel has built a reputation for delivering transformational commercial performance—scaling for growth, driving revenue increases in challenging environments, improving margins through operational and system change, as well as leading teams through periods of significant organisational change, including Mergers & Acquisitions. He is an alumni of Cranfield Business School and has graduated from their highly regarded Business Growth Programme and also, more recently, Leeds University’s Exceptional Non Executive Director programme.
An experienced commercial and sales leader with over 30 years scaling technology, software, and print industry businesses across EMEA and APAC. Most recently as SVP Enterprise Sales at Loftware he drove sustained double‑digit ARR growth through a redefined GoToMarket, ecosystem expansion, implementation of industry leading sales methodologies and approaches. Being instrumental in the business significantly lifting average deal sizes and maximising Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) has helped establish the company as the global leader in enterprise labelling and artwork management. Prior to this he held senior commercial roles at Kodak, following earlier board and senior leadership positions at Pindar, Creo and Colyer Group.
Resilient leadership through personal adversity and the importance of maintaining and caring for our own wellbeing and mental health is an area that is rightly commanding more attention today than ever before. This could be as a result of a relationship breakdown or the loss of an immediate family member or any other of the many things outside of our working life that can impact our ability to be fully focused on our professional responsibilities. Having had first-hand experience of navigating such situations and, just as importantly, the aftermath, which can be equally tough, is an area that he feels particularly strongly about helping other leader’s negotiate.
Today, Nigel has transitioned from his executive career to focus on a portfolio path, working as a Non‑Executive Director, coach, and mentor to entrepreneurs—particularly those in the technology sector, both pre‑ and post‑funding. Drawing on decades of senior sales leadership experience, he also provides fractional sales leadership, go‑to‑market strategy, sales operations, and sales team development.
Based in York, Nigel maintains wide interests outside work, including travel, golf, music – especially live performance. He is a director of the resident management board and a lifelong supporter of Leeds United.
