WAC is a disruptive venture and is dedicated to empowering underprivileged, hardworking and low-paid workers, as well as addressing significant issues in the labour market. 45% of hourly paid workers are being underpaid due to poor processes and the chaotic nature of shift work, and in some cases, employers taking advantage of employees. WAC is an app that helps hourly paid workers to organise their work lives, track their hours and earnings, and get paid right! I’ve summarised some of our successes to date:
With your strategic insights and financial backing we could further fuel our growth, and make a lasting impact on an unsupported workforce. Right now we are raising £200,000 under ASAs, offering 15% in free shares and 30% tax relief under EIS if we can close your investment by the beginning of July. We are having lots of conversations, so hope to achieve this sooner. This will be part of our £1m seed round which is officially open (ASAs will convert when closing the round), which we are in many active conversations for and hope to close by September/October.
