Connect Yorkshire, the not-for-profit organisation that supports fast-growing businesses, has appointed a new board of executive and non-executive directors.
A spokesman said that the owner, Sophie Conboy, will continue in her senior leadership role as a director, providing continuity and sector expertise.
“Connect Yorkshire has always been about enabling founders and business leaders to thrive,” said Ms Conboy.
“This next chapter builds on that legacy, bringing renewed focus and momentum as we respond to the evolving needs of Yorkshire’s business community.”
The new board consists of Rana Harvey (Monster Group), Thomas Kendall (Partners&), Phil Harris (Coppice), Caroline Broad (Alt Legal), David Smalley (Ex Litmus), Gez Walsh (Innergy Group), Paul Kenny (Aquatrust) and William Conboy.
Connect Yorkshire was founded in 2002 by a group of professional service providers in Leeds and Sheffield with the aim of boosting the region’s economy through peer support.
Paul Kenny, Managing Director of AquaTrust and Director of Connect Yorkshire, added: “I’m thrilled to join the board at Connect Yorkshire at such an important time. The business environment has shifted significantly in recent years, and founders and leaders need support more than ever.
