Julian Kynaston

Julian founded Propaganda in 1993 growing it to be one of the most respected and successful marketing agencies in the UK. Julian maintains a major shareholding of the business and the position of executive chairman. Julian lists being part of the board of hair and beauty brand ghd, in which he took a central role in developing to be one of the UK’s fastest growing private companies in 2005, as one of his greatest achievements.. He is also intensely proud of his creation, illamasqua, a global cosmetics brand, which was launched in 2008 at Selfridges, Oxford Street – the number one beauty door in the world.

Julian has held Non exec positions at FMG, Seabrook crisps, Razor and most recently at Bababing. He is also intensely proud of his involvement at GenM where he has been deeply passionate about spreading Menopause awareness.

Over the past two decades, Julian has been proud to receive a number of prestigious awards, recognising his successes and wider contribution to business. These have included Insider’s Entrepreneur of the Year and The Drum’s Marketing Services Head of the Year.
