Clare Barton

Clare is a performance and operations professional with over 20 years’ experience supporting businesses across Yorkshire and the North-East of England.

Her long and varied career at Lloyds Banking Group included senior leadership roles in SME and corporate banking and customer service operations. She’s grown, shaped and led complex and large-scale international operations, performance managed a £200m T/O corporate banking division and supported companies of all sizes and across many sectors. Clare is passionate about people and has experience building high performing teams, driving cultural change, improving employee engagement and leadership capability.

Through her advisory service, Leading Operations Limited, she partners with founders and boards to provide holistic and hands-on support for companies who aren’t attracted to the larger consultancy firms, helping design and execute successful strategies, and offering hands-on, practical advice to prepare and scale for growth and improve performance.

Whilst originally from Newcastle, Clare is an adopted Yorkshire girl and is a keen supporter of both the Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire Tykes rugby teams. She also volunteers with several charities and NFP’s, including as a Board member of Be The Business, whose goal is to help founders improve business performance.
