Dan Rathbone

Dan started his career as a software engineer and worked on large scale systems at companies such as Orange and Sky Bet. In 2014 he co-founded Infinity Works with 3 other colleagues with a view to taking their approach to software delivery, refined over many projects, out to clients in the wider industry. Dan took on the role of CTO and was champion of IW’s “Technically Excellent” core value. Infinity Works evolved over the years to become one of the UK’s leading Digital Transformation and Engineering consultancies. It works across many sectors from tier-one retail to financial services, and some of the largest technology led projects in the public sector. During the next 7 years Infinity Works acquired many big clients such as Sainsbury’s, the NHS, Sky Bet, Yorkshire Building Society, Virgin, DWP, Hitachi Capital, Starling Bank and Cinch Cars.

Dan and his 3 colleagues grew the business to over 450 staff across 4 UK offices with revenue of £50m in 2020. Dan spent his time working with Infinity’s staff, partners and clients to strengthen and broaden its capabilities. In March 2019 Dan and his colleagues sold part of the share capital to an equity investor and in early 2021 the entire business was acquired by Accenture.
